HOW IT WORKS
Most projects fail on logistics, not on ideas. We start with what the season, the infrastructure and the permissions allow, and design the work backwards from there.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU WRITE
Four steps, no forms
until they are needed.

You send the question
The research question, preferred dates, team size and what you need in the field. Two paragraphs is enough to start.

We reply with a feasibility assessment
What is possible in that season, in which settlement, and what is not. If the answer is no, you get the reason.

We plan the field window together
Access, accommodation, movement between settlements, safety arrangements and who needs to approve what.

Work is published with its status
Proposed, pilot, active, completed or paused. A proposal is never written up as a result.
WHAT WE CAN AND CANNOT ARRANGE
Support, and the edges of it.
WE CAN
Assess feasibility, coordinate with the settlement operator, arrange working space and accommodation where capacity exists, plan movement between settlements and connect a project to people who know the place.
WE CANNOT
Award academic credit, guarantee access to any specific site, override weather or safety rules, or promise a boat on a given day.
YOU BRING
The question, the team, insurance, personal equipment, travel to Svalbard, and flexibility about dates.
TIMELINE
Field seasons are planned months ahead. Write early; a first feasibility reply usually takes a few working days.
Access is conditional, always.
Weather, permissions, safety, logistics and capacity decide what happens on any given day in Svalbard. Plans are made with that in mind and revised without argument when conditions change.
